Over the years, Talsim has been continuously developed in close cooperation with our clients to meet the growing and changing demands of practical water management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, with the release of Talsim 5, a new chapter begins. While the final refinements are still being made, we are pleased to already present Talsim 5 and will showcase new and exciting features as the development progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key features of Talsim 5:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completely redesigned graphical user interface\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An interactive, geo-referenced map for visualizing the flow network map, with the ability to load custom geodata<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All core functions of Talsim 4 have been re-implemented, extended, and improved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Simplified and enhanced display of all interactive windows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consistent representation and input options for all system elements and associated parameters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tree views and search functions provide clarity and overview<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexible &#8220;Bulk Edit&#8221; mode for editing multiple elements\/parameters simultaneously<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interactive chart views for functions, capacity curves, time series, and simulation results<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>State-of-the-art technology\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Developed in C# based on Microsoft .NET WPF and modern UI control libraries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data management using SQLite databases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Important to know: Talsim 5 is a redesign of the graphical user interface, with a new modern software architecture, offering new possibilities for flexible data management for hydrological modelling, and which stores datasets in SQLite format. The simulation engine used in Talsim remains unchanged. Operational applications where the simulation engine is used independently of the user interface are not affected by this update. The Talsim server component also remains unchanged \u2013 Talsim 5 is fully compatible with existing Talsim servers, only requiring a small update to the server software.
