Sydro has derived Probable Maximum Precipitation and Intensity-Duration-Frequency curves and deployed them together with the bias-corrected time series to the Nile Basin Knowledge Portal (IKP). The following climate and hydrological variables are available at 0.44\u00b0 spatial and 1 day temporal resolution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Precipitation time series<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temperature time series (max\/min)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intensity Duration Frequency curves (IDF)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The time horizons of these datasets cover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1971 \u2013 2000 (historical)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2006 \u2013 2035 (near future)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2036 \u2013 2065 (mid-century future)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2066 \u2013 2095 (far-century future)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The underlying RCP scenarios are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>RCP 4.5 (intermediate climate change scenario)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>RCP 8.5 (worst case climate change scenario)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this website, the water and climate community is enabled to use reliable and tested climate change projections of the entire Nile Basin to conduct their own studies. A manual is available at the IKP portal providing guidance on how to download and apply the data.
